Thornwood Sharks Swim Team 2025

Summer 2024 Registration.  

This is for a competitive swim team ages 4-18. Your child will be placed according to their age as of May 1, 2024. 

 We do offer pre-swim classes for ages 4-6.  These are not your typical swim lessons, but a large group swim class with our swim coaches. It is NOT for those who are not comfortable or have a fear of being in the water.  An evaluation is required on April 22 & 23 to determine placement and eligibility for all 6&U and new to shark swimmers. 

Practices are M-Th starting on May 6 for all ages. 

Meets will begin on June 6th and will be Mondays and Thursdays through June 24th.  Meet of Champs will be held on June 29 and 30th at the SBISD Natatorium.

Liability Waiver

I/We hereby give approval for the participation of my child _______________________________ in any and all swim team activities under the Thornwood Sharks Swim Team, Inc. and I/we assume all risk and hazards incident to such participation including transportation to and from said activities, and waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the Thornwood Sharks Inc., it’s Members, all participating teams, officers, organizers, coaches, supervisors, directors, volunteers, participants, and persons or parents involved in any way, including transporting participants to and from such activities, from claims arising out of injury to my/our child, and/or damages to or loss of property. I/We acknowledge that I/We understand that there is currently no way to guarantee the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. I/We are voluntarily choosing to participate in the Thornwood Sharks, Inc. and understand the risks associated with the usage of public facilities. I/We agree to abide by governmental guidelines regarding personal health monitoring, social distancing, and group size as well as directives of lifeguards and pool management. I/We hereby release and hold harmless TWST, from any and all liability arising from COVID-19 illness or injury arising from swimming activities.

Memorial-Spring Branch Swimming Conference, Inc. Parental Release and Consent Confirmation of Eligibility and Sportsmanship Policy

I/We acknowledge that I/We understand that there is currently no way to guarantee the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. I/We are voluntarily choosing to participate in the Memorial Spring Branch Swimming Conference, Inc. and understand the risks associated with the usage of public facilities. I/We agree to abide by governmental guidelines regarding personal health monitoring, social distancing, and group size as well as directives of lifeguards and pool management. I/We hereby release and hold harmless MSBSC from any and all liability arising from COVID-19 illness or injury arising from swimming activities. 

I/We also certify that my/our child has not violated Memorial-Spring Branch Swimming Conference Inc. eligibility rules by training or competing with a USA swim team or organization or YMCA swim team or organization after March 9th of the current swim season. 

I/We understand that any violation of this eligibility rule will result in my/our child being ineligible for this league for one year and the forfeiting of each meet in which he/she competed for the aforementioned swim club.

I/We confirm that I/we have read the Memorial-Spring Branch Swimming Conference, Inc. Sportsmanship Policy and agree to follow the policy by promoting good sportsmanship.

IF you are not a resident of the Thornwood neighborhood, there is an additional fee for non residents to participate in the Thornwood Sharks.

Parent-Swimmer Behavior
