Thornwood finished the Meet of Champs in 5th place this year! Great job sharks!!! We also took home the division win from the season going undefeated! Great job swimmers!!

Yesterday, the meet was moved up to start earlier, in order to avoid the weather that was expected (and materialized) in the afternoon. The last event of swimmers were in the water when the thunder rolled!

If your swimmer(s) are looking to stay in the pool during the rest of the summer and into the school year, there are great options in the area!! 

Wolfie's Swim School - Group and Private Lessons - Offering 50% off the first month for our Sharks! - Great option for those young sharks learning to swim and for our sharks that want to sharpen their technique.

MAC Aquatics - Group and Private Lessons, Non-Competitive Swim Team (YAF), Masters Swim Team - This is a great local option for our sharks who want improve thier technique or want to stay in swimming shape over the school year!  (They also offer a masters program for those parents that want to swim year around so that they can beat the coaches relay next year).

DADS Club Aquatics - Group and Private Lessons, Stroke & Endurance (technical stroke instruction), Competitive Swimming Program - This is a great option for all levels and into competitive swim if your shark wants to compete year around and develop their swimming. 

If you have an older shark, there are options for water polo as well as the Stratford High School Swim Team, Coach Cassie is a fountain of information if your shark has interest!! 

We have had such a wonderful season and we hope you all have a great summer and we look forward to another amazing season in 2026!
